LED Lighting Partnership Formed
In Germany, Jenoptik’s
business unit Optoelectronic Systems, a manufacturer of optoelectronic systems and
polymer optical components, and Leids GmbH & Co. KG, a solid-state lighting
developer in Backnang-Waldrems, have signed a five-year development and cooperation
agreement for LED industrial lighting. Leids will provide expertise in LED production
and system design, as well as access to industrial markets, while Jenoptik will
bring experience in high-performance optics. The companies’ goal is to produce
efficient LED illumination systems for warehouse or workplace lighting. Jenoptik’s
headquarters is in Jena. Leids is a subsidiary of Alder Optomechanical, a Taiwanese
LED manufacturer.
