LIGHTING DESIGN
Philips Lumileds has introduced online tools to simplify lighting design projects that use its Luxeon LEDs. In the “Design Resources” section of the company Web site, designers can find downloadable optical, mechanical and electrical models for the LEDs that can be used in software applications to reduce development time. Available for Luxeon Rebel and K2 are 100 K, 500 K and 5 M raysets, footprint and 3-D CAD files, optical source models printed circuit board layout tool library models and Spice models for electrical simulation. The files are available in a variety of formats.
