LaserMax Chooses New Sales Directors, Coordinator for Marketing, Training

ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 9, 2015 — LaserMax, a producer of laser sighting and illumination tools for firearms, has hired three new people for its sales and marketing teams.

Shari-Lynn Fix is the new director of distribution and international sales, Chris Gray has been named director of commercial and OEM sales, and Joseph D’Ambrosia has taken the role of marketing and training coordinator.

Shari-Lynn FixBased in Georgia, Fix has more than 25 years of experience in sales positions at companies in the shooting sports industry. Most recently she was key account director at Remington Outdoor Co. Her firearms industry career began in 1988 at H&R 1871, where she was hired as an order-entry clerk and worked her way up to vice president of sales before transitioning to the role of national sales manager at Taurus International.

Gray most recently was sales and business development manager for handguns at Remington. He also served as western regional sales representative and key account manager. Gray has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oregon.  

A retired U.S. Army staff sergeant, D’Ambrosia will produce digital, print and multimedia marketing materials designed to expand brand awareness, and will develop firearms training programs and content for LaserMax’s commercial customer base, as well as law enforcement and military customer sectors.

Joseph D'AmbrosiaOver the last year, D’Ambrosia was a paid consultant and technical advisor for LaserMax while serving independently as a full-time firearms instructor for local, state and federal law enforcement, the military and the firearm-owning public. Before that, he was a noncommissioned officer in the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry). He completed multiple tours of combat and received the Purple Heart following Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from St. John Fisher College.

In addition to firearm sighting solutions for military, law enforcement and commercial markets worldwide, LaserMax also develops laser products and optical systems for the semiconductor, aerospace, biomedical and telecommunications industries.

LaserMax currently works with 20 distributors and three factory representative groups to stock thousands of retail locations that carry LaserMax products.
