Germany, has received approval from the FDA for its Leica FL800, a video
angiogram device for viewing of intraoperative blood flow in the cerebral vascular
area. The device uses IndoCyanine Green as a fluorescent agent. It allows surgeons
to easily see blood flow during an operation so that they can determine the permeability
of vessels and the effects of their surgery.
