Simon Les has joined IR optics manufacturer ULO Optics Ltd. as its sales manager. This appointment aims to drive the expansion of ULO products into new technologies and support existing product lines. Les joins ULO with over 6 years of experience in the optics industry, most recently as aftermarket sales manager at global laser optics manufacturer II-VI servicing customers in the UK and Scandinavia. In his new role reporting to the business development manager, Les will build on these skills while working with the team developing new solutions to make beam delivery equipment more affordable for the 1-µm fiber laser market without compromising quality. “Simon’s appointment is another part of our drive to expand our skill base, ensuring we are structured to offer the highest standards of customer service,” said John Barton, managing director at ULO. “This is particularly important as we continue the drive to maximize production of our full range of standard and customized products.” ULO is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of laser optics and mid-IR optics for thermal imaging and sensing.
