In Carlsbad, Calif., Life Technologies Corp. has announced that its Applied Biosystems MicroSEQ salmonella spp. detection kit has been validated by the AOAC Research Institute, a nonprofit based in Gaithersburg, Md. The endorsement by the international food industry standards organization is expected to help ensure the safety of the food supply.
