LightPath Adds 2 VPs
LightPath Technologies Inc., an optical components and assemblies manufacturer, announced Wednesday its appointment of two vice presidents.
Brian Soller, PhD, a former executive at Luna Innovations, will join the company in the new position of vice president of corporate development and sales. He will be responsible for defining new market opportunities for the company’s products, as well as promoting its technical capabilities and developing its brand. He will also manage LightPath's sales and marketing organization.
Formerly LightPath’s director of engineering, Alan Symmons has been promoted to vice president of corporate engineering. Part of the company’s leadership team for the past four years, Symmons has been credited with making significant corporatewide improvements, including the organization and management of a technical staff; the implementation of LightFast, a quick turnaround of product quotes and production of custom designs; and the development of new lens products.
