Light Sciences Oncology of Snoqualmie, Wash., has purchased the assets of its parent company, Light Sciences LLC, through the issuance of common stock. Acquisitions include all patents and other assets of the latter company and its five subsidiaries. With the purchase, Light Sciences Oncology intends to improve its light infusion therapy technology, which uses a variation on photodynamic therapy with red LEDs to treat cancer in solid tumors.
