Lockheed Martin Names VP of New Business Line

Bethesda, Md.-based Lockheed Martin has named Richard F. Ambrose as vice president of a newly formed Surveillance and Navigation Systems business line within its Space Systems Co. His responsibilities will include the company's national security programs, including the space-based infrared system (SBIRS) and global positioning system (GPS). Since January 2004, Ambrose has served as vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems & Sensors' Tactical Systems business line, headquartered in Eagan, Minn. He previously served in Space Systems as vice president and deputy program manager for the SBIRS program; Ambrose joined Lockheed Martin in 2000.
