Lumics GmbH, a Berlin, Germany-based maker of fiber-coupled laser modules, has opened a Los Angeles sales office, headed by Lee Branst, North America regional sales manager, at 400 Continental Blvd., El Segundo, CA 90245; phone: (310) 426-2944, e-mail: Lumics GmbH, based in Berlin, Germany, makes laser devices with wavelength outputs ranging 800 to 1080 nm. Products include fiber-coupled laser diode modules in 14-pin BTF, mini DIL and TO-220 designs and laser systems for use in optical communication networks, analytical instruments and industrial laser applications.
