Health monitoring technology provider Raytelligence has added applied machine learning researcher Jens Lundström to its team.

Jens LundströmLundström will work on the company’s eHealth offering. He holds a Ph.D. in information technology with a focus on AI for health technology. Previously, he was an assistant professor at Halmstad University.

“Machine learning will play a very important role in future health care,” said Pelle Viberg, CEO of Raytelligence. “With his long experience of strategy, project management, and programming, combined with identification of user needs and requirements and a deeper knowledge of modeling of human behavior patterns and anomaly detection, Jens will help strengthen our position as a eHealth company, as we now are investing even more in eHealth and AI. Now, we are forming the team to be prepared for the listing at the Swedish stock exchange by the end of this year.”

The microwave technology and wireless communication provided by Raytelligence is based on a compact, but highly advanced, sensor equipped with AI, that can measure and track breathing, body position, and motion at a distance. To measure position and motion with millimeter-precision under extreme conditions is valuable for the manufacturing industry.

“I see Raytelligence as a company with a very high potential,” Lundström said. ”To be able to join this company, becoming a part of the development of the microwave radar system, and pair it with AI, will be incredibly exciting. We will be able to make a big difference in the future health care sector.”

Raytelligence offers sensor and cloud solutions for the monitoring of respiration, heart rate, positioning, and motion.
