Published by RSoft Design Group, the eight-page issue discusses the OptSim maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) model for the design and simulation of direct-detection systems deploying MLSE-based receivers. It also includes articles on modeling high-efficiency solar cells with the DiffractMod and Most tools, and on optical interconnect design using ModeSys and BeamProp.
