Micron Technology Expands in Asia
Memory and image sensor provider Micron Technology Inc. of Boise, Idaho, has enlarged its Micron Semiconductor Asia PTE Ltd. plant in Singapore by 40 percent. The 264,778-sq-ft facility expansion houses equipment for testing and assembling high-density, high-speed memory components and modules. Representing a $250 million investment, the addition will reinforce Micron’s ability to meet the growing demand for semiconductors in Asia.
