The National Human Genome Research Institute, based in Bethesda, Md., has announced that it will establish a Center of Excellence in Genomic Science at California Institute of Technology in Pasadena and will support existing centers at the University of Washington in Seattle and at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., through grants totaling $54 million over five years.
