Nersesian Named GM of EM Group

Agilent Technologies Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., a maker of measurement instruments for communications, electronics, life sciences and chemical analysis, has appointed Ron Nersesian as senior vice president and general manager of the company’s Electronic Measurement (EM) Group. Nersesian is currently vice president and general manager of the group’s Wireless Business Unit (WBU), Agilent’s largest business unit, with operations in the US, Europe and Asia. He is based in Santa Rosa, Calif. Besides WBU, EM Group comprises two other business units, Network & Digital Solutions, and Electronic Instruments, as well as sales, service and support. Nersesian will oversee all operations of both the EM and Semiconductor & Board Test segments, which are being restructured, the company announced Thursday (See: Agilent Restructuring EM). Nersesian has 27 years of experience in engineering, marketing and general management at Agilent, Hewlett-Packard Co. and other high-tech companies. He earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and a master’s in business administration from New York University’s School of Business.
