Newport Publishes Motion-Control Guide

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 17, 2010 — Newport Corp. announced the release of a motion-control capabilities brochure that features a comprehensive portfolio of its precision motion-control products, technologies and services for R&D, aerospace and defense, life and health sciences, photovoltaics, microelectronics, laser research, fiber optic communications, semiconductor wafer manufacturing, metrology and industrial manufacturing applications.

Titled Our Solutions at Your Service, the brochure also includes engineered subsystems and subassemblies, plus a cross section of the company’s latest innovations. Recently introduced products include the SinguLYS air-bearing stage and bridge, and the URS50BCC and URS50BPP precision rotation stages with 360° continuous motion.
The 44-page full-color brochure also features a timeline that covers more than 40 years of Newport’s experience and expertise in motion control, said Kim Abair, director of global marketing.
