The 36-page, full-color document details offerings for applications ranging from Raman instrumentation to biomedical laser systems to fluorescence instrumentation and microscopy. Among the new items highlighted are the 50-mm-diameter RazorEdge Raman filters and the BrightLine fluorescence multiband and single-band types. The MaxLine laser-line and StopLine laser-blocking filter varieties are described, along with the MaxMirror ultrabroadband mirror. Technical notes cover pixel shift, optical density and the orientation of filters in a microscope.

optical filters
An optical element that blocks or transmits a selected wavelength of light. Optical filters can either be absorption filters or interference filters. Absorption filters absorb any unwanted wavelengths while the interference filter will use the effects of constructive and destructive superposition to transmit only the selected wavelength.
