Dr. Tuckerman Moss

Determining optical quality is no easy task because of the trade-offs in specifying imaging optics. For a quantitative assessment of optics, engineers turn to modulation transfer function measurements, which measure the frequency response of an optical system or component, and can provide answers to questions about contrast, resolution or image quality.
