MUNICH & DANVERS, Mass., Oct. 17, 2013 &mash; Light manufacturer Osram has appointed Jes Munk Hansen to lead Osram Americas and Osram Sylvania, effective immediately. He succeeds Rick Leaman, who left the company to pursue other interests.

"His appointment will further strengthen our leadership position at a time where new regulatory standards and new technologies are redefining our industry."

Over the past 13 years, Hansen has held various leadership positions at pump manufacturer Grundfos, serving as CEO and president of Grundfos North America for the past six years. He holds an MBA from London Business School and a Master of Science in forestry from the University of Copenhagen.
