PHIX Photonics Assembly, an integrated photonics packaging foundry, has appointed Thomas Hommes as head of strategy. Hommes’ professional background includes several strategy management roles, most recently a three-year tenure at telecom company VodafoneZiggo.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO — California life science sector association Biocom California has added Jeffery J. Hessekiel and John Sos to its board of directors. Hessekiel will also serve as the chair of Biocom California’s public policy oversight committee. Since 2014, Hessekiel has served as executive vice president and general counsel at oncology company Exelixis, and in a previous position as senior counsel at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP. Sos has held leaderships positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific since 2011 and currently serves as president of its life science solutions group.
STOCKHOLM — Neonode Inc., a sensing technology company, has appointed Didier Schreiber to its board of directors as a class I director, replacing Cecilia Edström who held the same position. Schreiber currently serves as owner and CEO of Rondiné Consulting, and previously was the senior vice president and a member of the executive management team at ZEEKR Technology Europe AB (Zeekr Tech EU), previously known as China Euro Vehicle Technology AB (CEVT).
