P&P Optica Joins Technology Accelerator Program

WATERLOO, Ontario, Canada, March 19, 2013 — Optical spectrometer manufacturer P&P Optica Inc. has been selected as one of eight Canadian companies to participate in the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) program in Boston.

The three-month program, to be held at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), was launched by Gerald Keddy, parliamentary secretary to the minister of international trade, to provide the selected companies with unique resources in the Boston area as well as mentoring by business leaders, trade commission advisers and venture capitalists.

The program aims to “grow innovative Canadian life science companies in a global commercialization hub,” while enabling new partnerships with companies based in the New England area.

Other CTA participants include Mindful Scientific Inc. and Equals6, both of Halifax, Nova Scotia; Biomedical Implant Technology Inc. of St. Catherines, Ontario; Sentimed Medical Corp. of Boucherville, Quebec; Arazy Group of Vancouver; Taste Filter Intuitive Discovery of Montreal and HInext Inc. of Toronto.
