Peter Allard Joins Alpine Research Optics
Alpine Research Optics (ARO) of Boulder, Colo., announced that Peter Allard has joined the company as western area sales manager, responsible for sales and marketing in the western US of the company’s high-damage-threshold laser optics for ultraviolet (UV), visible and near-infrared (NIR) applications. Allard has nearly 20 years of experience in the photonics industry, having held sales and marketing management positions at Melles Griot and Sunex. He also worked as an optical engineer at Loral Aeornutronic. Allard has a BS in optics from the University of Rochester and an MBA. ARO is the optics brand of Saint-Gobain Crystals, which is a business unit of Paris-based Compagnie de Saint-Gobain.
