Digital optical networking systems company, Infinera, announced that Philip Koen has joined the company’s board of directors. Koen was CEO of Savvis, an IT infrastructure services company, from March 2006 until January 2010. Prior to joining Savvis, Koen served for more than four years as CEO of Equinix, a company specializing in data centers and carrier hotels.
