PhotonDelta Adds Former Volvo Exec to Board: People in the News: 02/08/23

EINDHOVEN, Netherlands, Feb. 8, 2023 — PhotonDelta added Lex Kerssemakers to its board of directors. Kerssemakers is the former chief commercial officer for Volvo, and he has more than 35 years of experience in the automotive industry. He also served as Volvo’s CEO for the Americas. For the past 17 years he has served as a member of Volvo’s executive management board.

ZURICH — ABB’s board of directors nominated Denise Johnson, group president of Caterpillar Inc., as a new member for election at the company’s upcoming annual general meeting in Zurich on March 23. At the same time, current member Satish Pai will step down from the board. Johnson previously served in various managerial positions at General Motors in the U.S. and as managing director of General Motors in Brazil.

DARESBURY, England — Nanomaterials technology developer Quantum Science appointed Simon Wallwork as its chief legal adviser. Wallwork is a member of the strategic advisory board for BIONOW and a gold partner of Sci-Tech Daresbury Campus, where Quantum Science’s headquarters are located. Wallwork will continue his role as partner and board member at Slate Heelis.

BALTIMORE — Pixelligent Technologies appointed Jeff Anderson to its leadership team where he will serve as vice president of sales and marketing. Anderson previously served as a sales executive at Ceradyne. When the company was acquired by 3M Advanced Materials, Anderson became a U.S. business manager. Anderson has also held roles at Saint-Globain Ceramics. He joins Pixelligent from Concept Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in ceramic engineering and a master’s degree in ceramic and materials engineering, both from Clemson University. He also holds an MBA from the Charles H. Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon. 

SOLON, Ohio — Optical data storage technology company Folio Photonics has appointed Greg Kittilson as vice president of engineering. Kittilson previously served in a variety of leadership roles at Seagate Technology, initially as drive core team leader. Later he served as Seagate’s senior director for CORTX Object Storage Path development and, most recently, as PMO director for Lyve Cloud Engineering. Kittilson has also held leadership positions with Dot Hill Systems.
