Photonics Industries Expands in Japan
Photonics Industries International Inc. of Bohemia, N.Y., a maker of intracavity solid-state harmonic lasers, announced yesterday it recently formed a wholly owned Japan subsidiary, Photonics Industries Japan Co. Ltd. (Photonic Industries Kabushiki Kaisha, or PIKK), to better serve its growing customer base in that country. PIKK will provide local product support and service to complement Rayture Systems, the company's sales distributor there, Photonics Industries said. Located near the Shinjuku train station in Tokyo, PIKK customer support and service engineers are now typically within less than two hours of most customers’ facilities in Japan, Photonics Industries said.
