In Carrollton, Texas, optical end-point detection systems provider Verity Instruments Inc. has completed its plant expansion, which now provides a 300 percent larger production area and 50 percent more office space. The new 65,000-sq-ft facility features a stockroom with steel reinforced interior bunker for Class IV tornado storm and wind resistance, a ceiling with two layers of steel-reinforced concrete with a center waterproof membrane to protect inventory in the event of exterior roof damage, a waterless fire suppression system and ESD (electrostatic discharge) controlled flooring.
