To take advantage of emerging opportunities in North America and Europe, laser diode module and LED systems manufacturer ProPhotonix Ltd. has hired five people to join its global sales team. In late 2011 ProPhotonix began its strategy to drive growth in the US and Europe. Central to this goal was the recruitment of a global sales force, resulting in a team of six in North America and eight in Europe to serve the range of existing and prospective customers in the industrial, medical, and security and defense markets. Five individuals recently joined the company’s sales team: Patric Geubbelmans — With more than 20 years of experience working at Sylvania Lighting and Philips Lighting, Geubbelmans will serve as the regional sales manager for Benelux, Western Germany, France and Switzerland. David Richards — The former sales manager for New Wave Research will manage the UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy and the Nordic countries. Kevin Finn — With more than 15 years of experience with Control Laser and Universal Laser Systems, Finn will be responsible for western North America. Nazih Moussawee — The new regional sales manager for Midwest North America brings to his position more than 20 years of experience with Rockwell Automation and Danaher. George Minott — The 20-year photonics veteran from QD Vision, Barr Associates and Meggitt Aerospace/Armtec Industries will serve as the regional sales manager for eastern North America.
