Prophesee SA opened a Center of Excellence in Grenoble, France, to integrate event-based vision systems solutions into autonomous vehicles.

“Event-based sensing makes it possible for car manufacturers to access unprecedented levels of performance, reaction time, and efficiency to reach the ultimate goal of absolute safety in autonomous driving,” said Julien Mottin, the director of automotive systems at Phrophesee.

Prophesee plans to staff the center with up to 15 experienced engineers in the fields of sensor design, embedded software, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) technology.
