RadTech Announces RadLaunch Accelerator

RadTech, the association for UV and electron beam (EB) technology, has announced the formation of RadLaunch, a technology accelerator that will support early-stage startups and small businesses as they drive advancements in clean, sustainable, energy-saving technologies.

The emergence of innovative materials, additive manufacturing, 3D printing and the use of new tools such as UV LEDs and inkjet are accelerating the use of UV and EB as replacements for harsh industrial processes and chemicals while eliminating waste.

RadLaunch applicants will be vetted and judged by Accelerator sponsors including Chris Seubert at Ford Motor Co., Hui Yang at Procter & Gamble, and Mike Idacavage at Colorado Photopolymer Solutions.

“Innovative startup companies may face challenges in making the best use UV and EB,” Idacavage said. “RadTech has identified these potential hurdles and is working to help remove barriers. As part of this effort, in addition to supporting funds, RadTech will offer something potentially more valuable to a startup: mentoring and networking to help foster startup success, especially in the early stages of growth.”

RadTech serves as an international forum and reliable source of education and information for individuals and organizations involved in the use of UV and EB processing or who supply equipment, chemicals or other materials to such users. The mission of RadLaunch is to connect technology startups to UV and EB industry leaders.
