Raydiance Inc.
Raydiance Inc. of Petaluma, Calif., has entered into a two-year cooperative research and development agreement with the FDA. Under the terms of the agreement, the administration will use the company’s software-controlled ultrashort-pulse laser system to analyze the interaction between high-power lasers and tissue. Specifically, the Center for Devices and Radiological Health, the Division of Physics, and the Office of Science and Engineering Laboratories of the FDA will investigate the use, safety and effectiveness of the laser systems in dental, gene transfection, light therapy and ophthalmic applications.
