The new €2.3 million Europewide ABLADE (Advanced Bladder cancer LAser Diagnostics and thErapy) project – coordinated by the University of Dundee, working with industrial partners – will study whether advanced laser techniques can be used to both detect and treat the disease. The project will develop integrated laser diagnostic and therapeutic techniques exploiting the different ways cancerous and healthy cells respond to certain IR light.
