AIA: North American Machine Vision Sales Climb 10% in Q1

ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 3, 2013 — Machine vision sales in North America for the first quarter of 2013 grew 10 percent year-over-year, largely driven by a resurgence of application-specific machine vision (ASMV) systems, according to the AIA, the industry’s trade group. Sales of machine vision systems, the largest category, rose 11 percent year-over-year, spurred by 12 percent growth in ASMV.
