Armor Holdings Buys Swiss-Photonics

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 7, 2006 -- Armor Holdings Inc., a manufacturer of armored vehicles and other security products, announced today it is acquiring forensic optical equipment maker Swiss-Photonics AG. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Swiss-Photonics, through its trade name, Projectina, manufactures specialized equipment used to verify document authenticity and detect counterfeit currency and makes crime lab microscopes used to evaluate ballistics and bullet casings.
