BioMachines Inc. of Research Triangle Park, N.C., will expand service offerings through its newly established Applied Proteomics Services group. The new division is the result of an agreement with the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Proteomic Fractionation Group, which provides proteomic sample preparation, fractionation and mass spectrometry analysis services. Researchers from the Worcester-based school will support the company’s proteomics group, while the school expands its technology platform and creates additional biopharmaceutical applications for it.
