Digital industrial camera provider !%Allied Vision Technologies GmbH%! of Ahrensburg has acquired 100 percent of the shares of camera manufacturer !%15645%%VDS Vosskühler%! of Osnabrück, both in Germany. Effective immediately, the acquisition increases Allied Vision’s portfolio with the addition of near-IR and long-wavelength IR camera technologies as well as active camera cooling. Incorporated in 1985, VDS specializes in the market segment outside of the visible light in the near-IR and long-wavelength IR/thermography spectra. It also develops CCD cameras for visible light, focusing on customer-specific variations for OEMs.
