Edward Cloutis, a professor in the geography department at the University of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada, has received a $370,000 research grant from the Ottawa-based Canada Foundation for Innovation to establish a planetary spectrophotometer facility at the university. The facility will enable researchers to perform spectroscopic examinations on a micro and macro scale of such materials as meteorites and samples from planetary bodies using a combination of imaging systems, spectrometers and spectrophotometers. The total cost of the project is $950,000.Read full articleRelated content from Photonics MediaArticlesSemtech, Zebra Add to Executive Teams: People in the News: 03/22/23The PerkinElmer Life Science & Diagnostics business acquired by New Mountain Capital named Dirk Bontridder CEO.
