Compact Imaging Inc. of Mountain View, Calif., has formed a collaborative research agreement with the National University of Ireland, Galway, and the University of Limerick in Ireland. The two-year project will combine NUI Galway’s OCT research in medical and biological imaging with Compact’s development and intellectual property in the area of multiple-reference OCT. Compact’s MRO multiple-reference OCT architecture makes possible cell phone-size, low-cost, robust OCT-based devices for noninvasive optical imaging, measurement and analysis in health care and security.
