Consumers Dominate MEMS Market

The microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) market is expected to surpass a staggering $11 billion by 2012, according to Yole Développement, a French market research and strategy consulting company specializing in the MEMS, compound semiconductor, nano- and life sciences fields. In 2009, the market was valued at $7 billion.
