Corning Spending $20 Million to Boost LCD Production

CORNING, NY, August 30 -- Corning Inc. will spend more than $20 million to multiply its ability to produce liquid crystal display devices by six. The investment will go towards the company's ability to manufacture the PurePath Dynamic Spectral Equalizer and Wavelength Selective Switch, which are PurePath wavelength management devices based on liquid crystal technology.
