Coronavirus Testing Kits to Be Developed Using RNA Imaging Technology

BURNABY, British Columbia, March 20, 2020 — A Simon Fraser University (SFU) research team will be using RNA imaging technology it has created to develop coronavirus testing kits. The decision to apply the technology, called Mango, to COVID-19 testing is in response to a funding opportunity recently announced by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) to help address COVID-19.
