Lehigh University has appointed Thomas Koch the first director of its Center for Optical Technologies. Koch, a former Agere vice president, said in a prepared statement that the center can benefit a reeling telecommunications industry. The center is a product of a partnership with Pennsylvania State University, Northampton Community College, Lehigh Carbon Community College and Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania.Read full article
