The International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) has released a book on robotics, Biologically Inspired Intelligent Robots (SPIE Press). Co-edited by Yoseph Bar-Cohen, a research scientist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and Cynthia Breazeal, assistant professor of media arts and sciences at the Massachsuetts Institute of Technology, the book focuses on trends and the future for the field of biomimetics, the emulation of life using machines in the form of robotics.
