EWI Adds Green Laser to Welding Lab

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 5, 2011 — To increase its capability for noncontact joining of small conductive parts, EWI has acquired a Miyachi Unitek LW2AG laser for its welding lab. The company will use the 532-nm wavelength green laser to join materials such as gold, copper and copper alloys for its manufacturing customers in the automotive, electronics, medical devices, advanced energy and other industrial market segments.
