Flextronics Purchases Image Sensor Company

In San Jose, Calif., Flextronics Inc. has purchased Peripheral Imaging Corp., a supplier of CMOS imaging products, including contact image sensors used in high-speed monochrome and RGB color document scanning applications. The acquired company, which will retain its identity and operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, intends to relocate its headquarters and engineering staff to the Flextronics campus. It will function as a unit of Flextronics Semiconductor, a specialist in application-specific integrated circuits, including full system-on-chip, standard cell and gate array types.Read full article
