Multispectral imaging systems provider FluxData Inc. of Rochester, N.Y., has licensed from the Rochester Institute of Technology Patent No. 7,554,586, titled “System and Method for Scene Image Acquisition and Spectral Estimation Using a Wide-Band Multi-Channel Image Capture.” Developed at the Munsell Color Science Lab at the institute, the technology will allow FluxData to develop low-cost, highly color accurate camera systems for the defense and security, surveillance, entertainment, medical and life sciences, industrial vision and agricultural markets.
