FluxData Multispectral Camera Heading to Space Station

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 1, 2011 — A multispectral imager built by FluxData Inc. was launched into space aboard the Japanese HTV-2 mission on Jan. 22, 2011. Headed to the International Space Station (ISS), the imager will be installed in the Window Observation Research Facility by the crew onboard the ISS. The imager is a component of the International Space Station Agricultural Camera (ISSAC), which was developed by students and faculty from the University of North Dakota (UND) in support of their Upper Midwest Aerospace Consortium research efforts.
