Funding slowing for biomedical research

“Biomedical research is valued highly by individuals, governments, foundations and corporations,” wrote Dr. E. Ray Dorsey and colleagues in a recent article. “Research is seen as a source of more effective treatments and preventive measures and as a route to political policy, economic development and new commercial products.” But that doesn’t mean it always gets sufficient funding.
