Galileo Corp. Changes Name to NetOptix

STURBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 6 -- Galileo Corp. has changed its name to NetOptix Corp. The change reflects the company's move to become primarily a manufacturer of optical telecommunications components and its focus on developing and manufacturing dense WDM optical filters. One of the company's subsidiaries, Optical Filter Corp., recently received its first production order for the dense WDM optical filters. Another company subsidiary, Leisegang Medical Inc., develops, manufactures, and distributes a range of diagnostic and surgical devices for the women's health market.Read full article
