Hubble Captures a Stellar Fireworks Show

GREENBELT, Md., July 4, 2019 — Reaching Earth just in time for Independence Day — a new view from NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope, which includes ultraviolet (UV) light, shows Eta Carinae, a supermassive star in the constellation Carina, glowing in red, white, and blue. Eta Carinae resides 7500 light-years away.
