Camera developer IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH has created IDS Imaging Development Systems Korea Ltd., a new subsidiary based in South Korea. The company cites the region’s potential for turnkey solutions with industrial image processing as a reason for the venture. Jake Choi was named head of the company, bringing experience in machine vision, as well as a sense of market developments and customer needs. He aims to develop the Korean market “continuously.” In addition to the new subsidiary in South Korea, IDS already has its own branches in the U.S., Japan, and Great Britain, as well as two sales offices in France and the Netherlands. IDS Imaging Development Systems is a manufacturer of industrial, high-performance USB, GigE, and 3D cameras.
